About Us

We are a small company in the North West of England that designs and makes classic British products and clothing.

Our clothing takes inspiration from the brands, designs and engineering from racing in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s – on two wheels or four, engine or muscle powered. This was one of the golden ages of design, particularly in Italy – hence our name Meccanica – Italian for machinery. You will also see this in our brand icon, the Meccanica Centurion reflecting British Roman heritage

The British made products in our line-up are hand made by artisans using sustainable materials making each piece one of a kind. These artisans build our clothes to last. We are not fast fashion. Every product is designed and finished in Britain.

We have rediscovered the ‘Bolenium’ brand of retro-inspired, British designed and made apparel. Bolenium was the driving over-all of choice for 50’s racers such as Sir Stirling Moss; even Sir Winston Churchill wore Bolenium. We’re currently redesigning our jeans.

If you wear Meccanica you are in good company. Sir Chris Hoy, Sir Jason Kenny CBE and Ant Anstead all own Meccanica.

We believe that people should not be excluded by size so we make from small to 4XL and 28” to 44” waist while keeping a good cut and style.

Our clothing and accessories are built to last.

We ship by Royal Mail through our Post Office trying to support local business.

We sell across the World.
