Meccanica - Hand Made British Clothing, Belts & Aprons

Meccanica began in Cheshire with a desire to create clothing and accessories that were British Made wherever possible, employing traditional materials and techniques with unique, considered design. These are inspired by workwear and sporting design icons from the 50’s to the 70’s. They are all built properly from superior materials and will age beautifully with time.

  • Hand Made Saddlery Belts

    Our belts are hand made, the traditional way in the
    North East of England by an artisan family of craftsmen and ladies tucked away in
    a rural village.

    The buckles are hand cast, polished and assembled in The Midlands.

    The leather is vegitable tanned in Staffordshire by a family owned enterprise going back
    to the 19th Century.

  • Selvedge Denim Apron

    Our selvedge apron looks and works as good on the floor
    as behind the BBQ.

    We opted for a classic style apron with a large split
    front pocket, breast pocket and towel loop on the waist. There are two lengths,
    medium and long, with two strap sizes for front or back tying. We brought this
    together with hand made copper rivets and our classic jeans labelling.

    We have unique take on the classic polo. Made Britain, from
    the best quality cotton-piqué knitted in England. Inspired by the greats from
    60's and 70's racing. Available in sizes up to 4XL in classic or zip-neck cuts.

    Our UK Made Jeans feature triple stitch on both straight and narrow leg styles. The fit is similar to the classic Levis 501 not the modern variant.
    The raw denim fades gradually over the exceedingly long life of these jeans.
    Sustainable in both where they are made and how long they last.
    Our Chinos are a slim fit in triple stitch made from a durable 100% cotton

    Our Meccanica T-Shirts are designed and built in the UK from 100% pre-shrunk cotton. They include hand screen printing with period detailing from the glory days of the 50's 60's and 70's racing. Great style, fit and superb quality.
